TRENDS Group, represented by its TRENDS Training Institute, participated as a knowledge partner in the Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders 2026 program. Organized by the Arab Youth Center, the program brought together 53 young men and women from 15 Arab countries to empower Arab youth and strengthen their knowledge and skills in diplomacy, public policy, and international relations.
As part of the knowledge partnership, TRENDS Research & Advisory hosted a workshop at its Abu Dhabi headquarters titled The Role of Youth in Political and Diplomatic Awareness. The session covered the importance of fostering political and diplomatic awareness among young people, mechanisms for understanding the political landscape and analyzing its developments, and the ability to distinguish reliable information from misinformation. It also introduced digital diplomacy and its tools, as well as youth’s role in using them effectively and responsibly.
The workshop, organized by the TRENDS Training Institute, highlighted the importance of equipping young people with critical thinking and analytical tools. This approach enables them to engage consciously with rapid political and media shifts and enhances their ability to participate positively in issues concerning regional and international affairs.
At the conclusion of the program, the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) hosted a ceremony to honor its partners. During the event, the Arab Youth Center honored TRENDS in recognition of its role as a knowledge partner, its contributions to enriching the program with content and expertise, and its support for the program’s objective of preparing a generation of Arab youth to keep pace with evolving trends in diplomacy, policy, and international relations.
Reem Al Kindi, General Manager of TRENDS Training Institute, emphasized that TRENDS’ participation as a knowledge partner in the program— and its recognition at the event’s conclusion —reflects its commitment to supporting Arab youth and empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate rapid transformations in the fields of diplomacy and international relations.
She commended the program’s level of cooperation and the recognition TRENDS received at its conclusion, noting that this reflects the importance of knowledge-based partnerships in empowering Arab youth and enriching their knowledge.
She emphasized that investing in youth is an investment in a future generation that is more aware and better equipped to navigate regional and international changes.
She added that the workshop on the role of youth in political and diplomatic awareness was driven by a belief in the importance of enhancing young people’s ability to interpret the political landscape, verify information, distinguish between reliable and misleading information, and engage consciously with digital diplomacy tools, thereby strengthening their presence and enabling them to make positive and active contributions to their communities and to regional and international forums.
It is noted that 53 young men and women from 15 Arab countries participated in this year’s program. The “Young Arab Diplomatic Leaders” program serves as a specialized Arab platform for preparing young talent working in and interested in diplomacy, politics, and international relations. Across its previous four editions, the program has graduated more than 220 young men and women from 14 Arab countries, in cooperation with over 18 partners, leveraging the expertise of Arab and international academic and diplomatic institutions.
