TRENDS holds a workshop in collaboration with the Public Prosecution, titled From Awareness to Readiness: Towards an Empowered AI Generation.
TRENDS Research & Advisory, an affiliate of TRENDS Group, kicked off its participation in the AI Everything GLOBAL 2026 Summit — which launched on Tuesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) and runs through October 6-7 — by holding a workshop in collaboration with the Public Prosecution, titled From Awareness to Readiness: Towards an Empowered AI Generation. Mr. Issa Ali Al-Mannai, an AI Researcher at TRENDS, presented the workshop amid active engagement from attendees and tech innovation enthusiasts.
The workshop addressed the rapid transformations the AI revolution is bringing to the education and labor sectors, emphasizing the critical transition for youth from mere awareness of these technologies to readiness and the ability to use them consciously and effectively.
Al-Mannai highlighted key aspects of AI’s limitations and operational mechanisms, stressing the importance of asking critical questions that uncover these boundaries and determine the direct impact of smart systems on users’ daily decisions and practices.
The workshop also reviewed analytical findings and discoveries in artificial intelligence, including the ability of certain systems to be “confidentially wrong”—a phenomenon that requires thorough review and verification before relying on their outputs, since ultimate responsibility lies with the end user.
Discussions also touched on how training data shapes AI outputs, including bias patterns and confirmation matching, as system responses often reflect recurring patterns in training datasets rather than independent, human-like understanding. The session also examined data bias and how prompt engineering and context affect answer quality and confidence levels.
The workshop also explored language and contextual challenges, particularly the importance of images in specific contexts, as well as the precision of AI systems in handling Arabic and local cultural nuances, highlighting the need to foster critical awareness among users.
The workshop underlined the importance of establishing mechanisms to move youth from foundational knowledge of AI tools to practical application and field readiness, preparing them to deploy these advanced technologies effectively across various domains.
MoU to Enhance Research Cooperation
On the sidelines of the summit, TRENDS and the Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster cooperation in research, advisory services, knowledge exchange, and the organization of joint events, seminars, conferences, and workshops. The MoU establishes an institutional framework for collaboration in research and knowledge areas of mutual interest, leveraging specialized expertise to support scientific research, knowledge sharing, and relevant initiatives.
The areas of cooperation include:
- Conducting specialized studies, research, surveys, and polls.
- Exchanging experts and researchers.
- Organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific events.
- Collaborating on training programs and supporting related research initiatives.
The agreement also allows both parties to collaborate in other mutually agreed-upon fields to maximize expertise and expand the scope of research cooperation.
Knowledge Pavilion and Interactive Experiences
TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating in the accompanying exhibition via a dedicated Knowledge Pavilion (Stand A20, Hall 1). The pavilion combines research content with interactive, AI-driven experiences, showcasing TRENDS’ publications, studies, and knowledge products on technological and digital transformations.
TRENDS’ participation in the summit reflects its ongoing commitment to analyzing the implications of AI and digital transformations while fostering dialogue on the opportunities and challenges of these technologies—particularly in education, employment, justice, and decision-making—and contributing to a more aware, future-ready generation.
