Samaa Ahmed

Samaa Ahmed is a master student at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) pursuing a degree in International Affairs. In the summer of 2026, she completed a research internship with TRENDS training institute.
Samaa had graduated from the American University of Sharjah in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a major in History. Throughout her studies she focuses on understanding and explaining US foreign policy decisions and its implications on the Middle East politically and economically. Moreover, she is interested in bridging the gap between the realities of Middle Eastern politics and the already preconceived notions/assumptions about the region. Samaa also speaks English and Arabic.
