Sally Thomas

Sally Thomas is a Master of Arts in International Relations candidate at Johns Hopkins SAIS, focused on human security issues in the Middle East. In the summer of 2026, she completed an internship with TRENDS Training Institute through the SAIS-TRENDS partnership.

Sally graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and Arabic and Islamic studies. After graduation, she completed two consecutive fellowships with the U.S. Department of State in Amman, Jordan: a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and a CASA I Arabic Fellowship. While in Jordan, she also interned with the United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Arab States, focused on post-conflict reconstruction. Sally speaks English and Arabic.
