Dr. Gökhan Ereli is a Fellow and a Faculty Member at Ibn Haldun University’s Center for Gulf Studies and Global Policy and teaches part-time at several universities. He holds a PhD (2025) and MA (2018) in International Relations from Middle East Technical University (METU). Between 2018 and 2026 he worked at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM), departing as Gulf Studies Coordinator. His research covers the Gulf, the political economy of the Middle East, identity politics, post-positivist IR theory, contemporary French philosophy, and religion and nationalism, with publications by Routledge, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, and De Gruyter. He conducted fieldwork in Jordan, Qatar, and the UAE in 2021–2022.
