Andrea Margelletti

Founder and Chairman of the Center for International Studies (Ce.S.I.), Advisor to the Italian Minister of Defense, Italy

Born in Genoa in 1966, Andrea Margelletti is Chairman of CeSI – Centre for International Studies and among Italy’s foremost experts on security and defence.

He served as Strategic Advisor to the Italian Minister of Defence (2012–2018) and participated in international committees concerning nuclear non-proliferation.

He has addressed the United Nations General Assembly regarding security in North Africa and the Sahel region.

Margelletti serves on strategic review bodies at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CASD Centre for Higher Defence Studies and teaches at numerous military institutions, security academies, and Italian universities.

He advises national and international organizations on international policy, security, intelligence, and terrorism and regularly appears as an analyst on media outlets including RAI, Mediaset, CNN, Sky, and MSNBC.

He has received several honors, including the Italian Order of Merit and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta distinction and became the first honorary member of the Italian Joint Special Forces Command (COFS).
