Alexandra El Dbeissy

Alexandra is a Research Assistant at TRENDS Group. Prior to joining TRENDS Group, she worked at Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation in Dubai Humanitarian City, where she undertook responsibilities related to partnerships. Previously, she served at the Consulate General of Panama in Dubai, where she managed the Diplomatic and Consular Affairs section, oversaw official delegations from Panama, and served as the focal point for the former Ambassador of Panama to the UAE, who also served as Head of Mission of the Consulate General of Panama in the UAE.

Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in International Politics from Aberystwyth University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Sharjah, UAE. During her undergraduate studies, she completed internships at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi, the Embassy of Uruguay in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways, and Johnson & Johnson in Dubai.

Her research interests include diplomacy, the Global South, multilateral affairs, and international law.
