TRENDS Research & Advisory Participates for the First Time in International Security Expo 2026 in London

Organizing Foresight Events and Showcasing Research and Knowledge Publications

TRENDS Research & Advisory, a TRENDS Group company, is participating for the first time in International Security Expo 2026, a leading global event specializing in security, risk management, and protection technologies. The event will take place on September 29-30 at the Grand Hall, Olympia, London. TRENDS’ participation highlights the pivotal role of think tanks in strengthening security and promoting regional and international stability, as well as their contribution to shaping strategic thinking and informing policymakers.

At its knowledge pavilion, Stand B20 in the Grand Hall, TRENDS will host a series of forward-looking research events, discussions and intellectual sessions. It will also showcase around 550 publications, including academic series, original works and translated titles, as well as economic, political, social and forward-looking studies. These publications address international security, terrorism, transnational organized crime, the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on societies, cybersecurity, and emerging challenges.

A Specialized Global Gathering

Mohammed Al-Salmi, General Manager of TRENDS Research & Advisory, said TRENDS’ participation in the International Security Expo in London is particularly significant, as the event is one of the world’s leading gatherings on security, strategic, and technological issues. It brings together prominent speakers from government and the private sector, as well as operational experts, alongside more than 10,000 professionals, officials and specialists working in institutional and critical infrastructure security, counterterrorism and counter-extremism, and international security. This provides a valuable platform to exchange perspectives, research insights, and practical expertise, strengthen security and safety measures, counter extremist ideologies, and protect critical infrastructure.

Understanding Complex Transformations

Al-Salmi said TRENDS’ participation reflects its commitment to advancing research as an essential tool for understanding complex security transformations. TRENDS has extensive research capabilities and expertise, with thousands of publications, research papers, studies, and political, economic, security, and technology analyses addressing critical strategic issues, including regional and international security, extremism and terrorism, artificial intelligence and its security implications, and geopolitical transformations. He added that this rigorous body of research and knowledge has helped establish a strong and influential regional and international presence for TRENDS, whose strategic research partnerships now extend to more than 350 academic and research institutions and think tanks worldwide.

Producing Rigorous Knowledge

Rawdha Al-Marzooqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, said participation in such global platforms reflects TRENDS’ conviction that security and resilient infrastructure depend not only on technology, but also on a deep understanding of evolving contexts and trends. She explained that TRENDS’ approach is centered on producing rigorous knowledge, building sustainable strategic partnerships, and generating research impact that transcends geographical boundaries, positioning research as a key tool for understanding global transformations and developing effective solutions.

Al-Marzooqi added that TRENDS’ participation in International Security Expo 2026 in London will showcase its research and advisory expertise across geopolitical analysis, strategic studies, foresight, and public opinion research, as well as its work producing, analyzing, sharing, and applying knowledge to inform policy and decision-making. Together, these areas provide valuable insights into the evolving security landscape, a key focus for experts attending the exhibition.

Strengthening Dialogue

Hazza Al-Hammadi, Director of the Exhibitions Department within the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, said TRENDS’ participation in the International Security Expo in London seeks to strengthen dialogue between research and security practice through direct engagement with policymakers and experts attending the event. It also provides an opportunity to expand TRENDS’ network of international partnerships with leading research and academic institutions worldwide.

Al-Hammadi added that the participation will further strengthen TRENDS’ global presence at prominent international events, while highlighting its rigorous research and evidence-based insights on international security issues, as part of a broader vision that advances knowledge and supports sustainable development.
