In its Sixth Consecutive Participation
For the sixth consecutive year, TRENDS Research & Advisory, a TRENDS Group company, is participating in Frankfurt Book Fair 2026, the event’s 78th edition, taking place from October 7-11 at Messe Frankfurt in Germany. The participation aims to strengthen research ties and international strategic partnerships, expand TRENDS’ global intellectual and knowledge presence, and advance its mission to promote research and foresee the future through knowledge.
TRENDS is participating through its virtual office in Germany, reflecting its strategy to strengthen ties with research institutions and think tanks worldwide and open new avenues for exchanging perspectives and expertise on current regional and international developments and their future trajectories.
550 Research Publications
At Hall 5.1, Stand B27, TRENDS will showcase a diverse collection of over 550 publications spanning political, strategic, economic, social, cultural, and academic fields. The publications address key regional and global issues, examine rapid shifts in the regional and international landscape, and include forward-looking studies on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced technologies, the environment, and sustainability. TRENDS will also organize a range of specialized research events and initiatives.

A Global Platform for Publishing
Mohammed Al-Salmi, General Manager of TRENDS Research & Advisory, said TRENDS’ sixth participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair is strategically significant, given the event’s role as a global platform for advancing knowledge, culture, creativity, and the publishing industry. As the world’s largest marketplace for translation and publishing rights, the Fair also provides opportunities for direct engagement with nearly 7,000 exhibitors and publishing industry decisionmakers from around the world.
Al-Salmi added that participation also reflects TRENDS’ vision and mission to produce knowledge and provide rigorous, forward-looking analysis, while creating opportunities for academics, researchers and experts from around the world to exchange ideas and perspectives. TRENDS’ presence will extend beyond showcasing books and publications, with its pavilion hosting intellectual discussions and sessions focused on the challenges facing publishing, the future of artificial intelligence in writing, and intellectual property rights.
An Annual Platform for Engagement
Rawdha Al-Marzooqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, said that TRENDS’ pavilion this year marks a significant step forward in both the diversity and depth of the publications on display. Each year, the pavilion attracts strong interest from international publishers, universities, research and academic institutions, think tanks, researchers, and other fair visitors. She added that TRENDS is showcasing more than 550 publications, ranging from original works and translated titles to academic series, future studies, and policy and strategic papers.
Al-Marzooqi explained that TRENDS’ annual participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair has become an important opportunity to engage with the international publishing community, strengthen cooperation with strategic partners, and explore the latest developments in publishing, printing, translation and distribution. With Frankfurt’s book fair tradition dating back more than five centuries, the Fair is today the world’s largest book fair and one of the most important events in the global publishing industry.
An Integrated Knowledge Experience
Zayed Al-Dhaheri, Director of the Distribution Department within the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, said TRENDS’ participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair goes beyond the traditional model of a research institution’s presence at a book fair. Visitors to the pavilion can explore a wide range of publications, take part in knowledge-driven discussions and exchange perspectives with experts and researchers, discover innovative projects and initiatives, and explore different approaches to producing and sharing knowledge. Together, these elements offer visitors a comprehensive and engaging knowledge experience.
Exchanging Expertise
Hazza Al-Hammadi, Director of the Exhibitions Department within the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, said TRENDS’ regular participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair aims to strengthen its presence in the global cultural and intellectual landscape, forge new connections, and promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge. It also seeks to foster creativity and innovation in research and academic fields. Al-Hammadi added that the participation reinforces TRENDS’ position as a leading research and knowledge platform and a prominent think tank providing research and advisory services at the regional and international levels.
