TRENDS to Participate in Beijing International Book Fair 2026 within the UAE Pavilion

The event will take place from July 17-21 at the China National Convention Center.TRENDS’ participation comes under the umbrella of the UAE Pavilion, representing the United Arab Emirates, which is the Guest of Honor for this year’s edition held under the theme Community and People. This strategic presence reflects TRENDS’ enduring commitment to expanding its intellectual footprint globally and fostering knowledge partnerships with leading international research and academic institutions, with the aim of building sustainable bridges for cultural exchange among nations.A Vision for the FutureAbdulaziz Al-Shehhi, Principal Researcher, Deputy Director-General of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Head of the Beijing Delegation, emphasized that China represents a pivotal strategic pillar in TRENDS’ knowledge projects and future directions. He highlighted China’s profound cultural heritage and its highly influential academic institutions on the global stage.TRENDS’ presence at the Beijing International Book Fair, under the umbrella of the UAE Pavilion, stems from a genuine intellectual commitment to analyzing global shifts and providing effective, forward-looking insights,” Al-Shehhi stated.He added that TRENDS is actively working to enhance its partnerships with prominent Chinese and international think tanks to support knowledge production and dissemination, and to open promising horizons for digital transformation and knowledge management between both countries.Publications and EncyclopediasRawda Al-Marzouqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS, outlined the key features of their intellectual participation in this prominent international event. She confirmed that the TRENDS platform within the UAE Pavilion will present the Chinese and global public with a rich and diverse showcase of its research output.Al-Marzouqi noted that TRENDS was keen to ensure its participation is qualitative and aligned with the fair’s theme, Community and People. She pointed out that the platform features TRENDS’ latest releases, along with series on strategic, political, and economic studies. Notably, it highlights key volumes of the TRENDS Encyclopedia on the Muslim Brotherhood, which has garnered widespread international attention and has been translated into several languages.A Vital Focal PointFor his part, Dr. Yang Yu Xin, Director of the TRENDS Office in China, explained that the Beijing office serves as a vital focal point connecting Arabic and Chinese thought. He indicated that this year’s participation will focus on showcasing the latest translated studies and research, alongside advisory services provided by TRENDS companies, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, advanced technology, and sustainability.He added that the participation will include high-level bilateral meetings with Chinese publishing houses and institutions to explore mutual collaboration in publishing and intellectual property.The UAE Pavilion: A Cultural MomentumTRENDS’ participation is part of the UAE Pavilion, which brings together over 120 participants representing more than 20 federal, local, cultural, and academic institutions.
