Ikram Abdu Endris

Ikram Abdu Endris is a graduate student in International Studies and Research Intern at TRENDS Research & Advisory, Dubai, where Ikram works on research related to higher education, identity, and belonging in the UAE. Ikram’s master’s thesis examines how Ethiopian undergraduate students and their families navigate higher education migration to the UAE, with broader research interests at the intersection of education, migration, transnational mobility, and social mobility, particularly between East Africa and the Gulf. Ikram is also passionate about languages, speaking three fluently and having an elementary command of three additional languages, which complements Ikram’s interest in cross-cultural engagement. Ikram’s work seeks to contribute to discussions on education, diversity, inclusion, and the experiences of African students in international higher education.
