‘Peace and tolerance are two fundamental pillars of the United Arab Emirates’ journey.’
TRENDS Group affirmed that research centers play a pivotal role in promoting peace and tolerance and strengthening public diplomacy through knowledge production and organizing constructive dialogues.
In a statement marking the International Day of Peace, observed annually on September 21, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali, Chairman of TRENDS Group, said that this role aligns with the United Nations’ 2026 theme, Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day, noting that investing in peace begins with investing in knowledge, scientific research, and dialogue.
He explained that peace and tolerance are two fundamental pillars of the United Arab Emirates’ journey, embraced by both its leadership and people, and firmly embedded through distinctive initiatives that have made them a way of life. He stressed that promoting a culture of peace is an aspiration shared by all nations and the only path toward achieving stability, progress, and prosperity.
He noted that TRENDS, through its five companies, foremost among them its research and advisory company, works through its diverse initiatives and research activities to foster a culture of peace and tolerance. These efforts have earned several international awards in Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as a tolerance award in the United Arab Emirates.
He emphasized that TRENDS believes rigorous scientific research is the most effective way to promote peace, tolerance, and knowledge, calling for deeper cooperation between research and media institutions to build a world characterized by compassion and fraternity, free from violence.
He concluded by saying that the International Day of Peace is a noble humanitarian occasion that inspires hope for a more stable and harmonious world.
