In a new step to promote the dissemination of culture and support knowledge regionally and internationally, TRENDS Research & Advisory, part of the TRENDS Group, is participating for the first time in the 2026 Moscow International Book Fair as a Knowledge Partner for the 39th edition of the fair, which will be held from September 2-6 at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Complex in Moscow, the Russian capital.
The participation reflects TRENDS’ vision of anticipating the future through knowledge. At its special booth, No. K2 L1, TRENDS will present more than 500 diverse research publications, along with a distinguished collection of scientific series, original and translated books, and economic, political, social, and forward-looking studies.
Interactive Events
TRENDS’ participation is not limited to presenting its high-quality publications; it also includes a rich knowledge program featuring interactive research and scientific events. These include more than four seminars and discussion sessions analyzing current international issues, as well as the launch of several new publications and studies. The program will also feature a series of intellectual meetings and scientific discussions with experts, academics, researchers, and specialists.
To strengthen sustainable research partnerships. On the sidelines of TRENDS’ participation in the Moscow Book Fair as a knowledge partner, TRENDS will sign several memoranda of understanding and strategic cooperation agreements with Russian academic institutions, think tanks, and institutes. In addition, TRENDS will hold a series of meetings and discussions with universities and research centers to activate existing cooperation and partnerships.
Constructive Dialogue
Mohammed Alsalmi, General Manager of TRENDS Research & Advisory, said the organization’s first participation in the Moscow International Book Fair as a knowledge partner for the 2026 edition marks a qualitative milestone in TRENDS’ journey toward establishing a culture of scientific research as an effective tool for understanding change and formulating future strategies. He added that the pavilion not only presents knowledge-based materials but also opens channels for effective and constructive intellectual dialogue, providing an interactive platform for exchanging experiences and perspectives among researchers and experts from different countries around the world.
Alsalmi stressed that the participation embodies TRENDS’ firm belief that knowledge is a form of soft power that transcends borders, and that promoting scientific interaction on regional and international issues is one of the most effective ways to anticipate innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. He explained that the participation will also enrich scientific discussion and reinforce the role of research and knowledge institutions as bridges for promoting sustainable cooperation and mutual understanding.

Rawdha Al-Marzooqi, Researcher and Director of Distribution and Exhibitions at TRENDS, said that TRENDS Research & Advisory’s first participation in the Moscow International Book Fair as a knowledge partner for the 39th edition confirms the pivotal and effective role that TRENDS plays in supporting knowledge and culture, promoting scientific publishing, and disseminating moderate thought at the regional and international levels. She added that participation in this global event further consolidates TRENDS’ position as one of the most prominent, trusted, and leading intellectual institutions internationally.
Al-Marzooqi explained that the participation of reputable research and intellectual institutions in international book fairs represents a qualitative shift in the concept of cultural participation, as it goes beyond displaying publications to organizing dialogue and scientific events that enhance the role of sustainable knowledge in addressing global issues. She noted that such participation confirms that think tanks can serve as bridges for communication and understanding among peoples, cultures, and societies. She indicated that TRENDS will present more than 500 research publications, series, scientific journals, specialized studies, and original and translated books at its pavilion in the main hall, along with a collection of publications translated into Russian.
Beyond Traditional Boundaries
Warda Al Menhali, Head of the Organization Communications Sector at TRENDS, affirmed that TRENDS’ participation in the 2026 Moscow International Book Fair as a knowledge partner embodies its global strategy of engaging with think tanks and academic institutions worldwide, disseminating sound knowledge to international audiences objectively and scientifically, and highlighting the role of think tanks in shaping societal awareness and their ability to transcend traditional boundaries.
Al Menhali stated that, as part of its participation in the exhibition, TRENDS will organize a series of seminars and panel discussions to promote knowledge dialogue and exchange views on some of the most prominent global challenges. These include a seminar titled The Future of Publishing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Protecting Language, Culture, and Creative Identity, a session titled Can Artificial Intelligence Replace the Writer? Creativity, Originality, and the Future of Human Narrative, and a seminar titled Artificial Intelligence, Creative Rights, and the Future of Content. TRENDS will also participate in a session on Self-Publishing as a Source of Ideas and Stories for Creative Industries.
Launching Books and Studies
Saif AlNuaimi, Director of Partnerships at TRENDS-Dubai, indicated that TRENDS’ participation in the 2026 Moscow International Book Fair will witness the launch of several high-quality books and studies, including the Russian edition of The Pearl Era: From Poverty to Prosperity: The Journey of the United Arab Emirates from the Pre-Pearl Era to the Post-Oil World, as well as the Russian edition of the Muslim Brotherhood International Power Index 2025. The participation will also include announcing the results of a specialized research study conducted in partnership with the Valdai Discussion Club.

Al-Nuaimi noted that TRENDS will also sign several memoranda of understanding and strategic partnership agreements with Russian academic institutions, institutes, and think tanks, including the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies and the Institute of Oriental Studies. TRENDS will also explore avenues for cooperation with several scientific and knowledge-based entities to enhance intellectual and knowledge-based cooperation and open channels for constructive dialogue with Russian experts and researchers, thereby supporting a deeper understanding of shared international issues.
