The program provides intensive training for researchers on how to engage professionally with media outlets and to formulate clear, impactful messages befitting rigorous research.
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the visibility of researchers in the knowledge media landscape, the TRENDS Training Institute – the training arm of the TRENDS Research Group – has launched the first edition of the “Media Presence” program. The program trained a group of researchers in professional media skills and techniques for delivering knowledge-based messages effectively.

The program provided intensive training for researchers on how to engage professionally with various media outlets, formulate clear and impactful media messages befitting rigorous research, and develop public speaking skills, body language, voice tone, and media interview and press conference management – complemented by extensive practical field applications.
The program primarily aims to enable researchers to achieve a distinguished media presence and to transform academic knowledge into simplified, impactful messages that reach both general and specialized audiences, thereby reinforcing the researcher’s role as a thought leader and media expert.

On this occasion, Reem Al-Kindi, Head of the TRENDS Training Institute, stated: “The program represents a qualitative leap in researcher development, as it bridges the gap between knowledge production and mass communication.”

She added that TRENDS believes researchers today must not only produce knowledge but also master media tools to create real impact in society, noting that this course was designed to be highly practical. She expressed hope to expand the program to include experts and specialists from various fields, as part of TRENDS’ commitment to building a generation of researchers capable of media leadership and digital influence.
